The Stubborn Lover

I don’t get peaceful sleep at night

Because I’ve lost my heart to you.

I’ve no peace in my mind because

My whole mind is set on making you mine.

No one can love you the way I do – I’m obsessed

With your handsome face and humble heart.

If you ever turn to love another woman, then I

Shall dip myself in a cauldron of love and vengeance.

I will steal you from the witch

Who dares to lay her claim on you;

You are mine whether you like it or not.

I’m passionate in my adoration of you and I

Cannot share my ecstasy with any other woman.

The fog of everlasting love clouds

My mind’s eye and my sense of right or wrong.

I need you like poison mixed with gall

To drink my passions away along with my own life.

You are the image of my dreams and

The reason why I exist.

The distance between us is disappearing;

Soon we will be in each other’s arm for eternity.

But if that witch comes between my adoration for you,

I’ll slay her and dip my fingers in her blood to titillate my senses.

Don’t you ever be beguiled by the witch,

Who posed once to be a friend,

She wants to steal you away from me, but

You are mine – only mine.

I will turn heaven upside down

If you are ever taken away from me.

I’ll like Dr. Faustus turn my longing for you

Into a cry, which hell will hear.

I love you dearest to excess and I

Drink my desires down my throat like venom.

Never leave me dearest one or you will not know

The hell hound that shall follow you into a death trap.

My love is stubborn, my love is jealous, my love is passionate,

But being in my love is also dangerous.
